The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing
I didn't want to believe that there are 7 great lies in network marketing. However, the more I read
Ann Sieg's

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing
, the more I started to believe.
Ann Sieg struggled in the network marketing business with quite a few companies for many more years than I did. I
struggled with my business for 7 years and I felt I was missing one major ingredient. I read Ann's eBook and found a lot of
similarities with our original approach to the business.
We both liked the idea of residual income, which network marketing is all about. Do something once and get paid for it
over and over again. There is no better way to make money, especially for someone with a limited income.
She made an excellent case about how ineffective the network marketing industry is in training good people to succeed. I
found myself agreeing with many of her findings. I decided to make adjustments to my approach to the business instead of
continuing on with mediocre results.
Ann Sieg found that the gurus in network marketing don't go to hotel meetings and meet one-on-one with all of their prospects. Most of them stay in the comfort of their home and send emails and make phone calls to people who have shown an interest in their business.
Do they spend a lot of money on advertising?
Not always.
Most have a system that they use to make a lot of money. The surprising thing is that most of them don't want to share this
knowledge with others in their downline.
Why not?
That's a good question. It's what Ann Sieg went into great detail to talk about in her report, The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.
She came up with a great solution for network marketers. It has made a huge difference in my business. Finally, I have people coming to me and asking about my business opportunity. I no longer chase people or tell friends and relatives about my business.
Here were some things I used to do:
- spend too much money on leads that gave little results.
- followed up with people who had no interest at all in my business.
- put sizzle cars on gas pumps and ATM machines all over town.
- introduced my business opportunity to unsuspecting people.
I would visit many hotel meetings in my time and hear the rah rah rahs. I offered prospects a ride to the meeting. More often than not, they were not home when I told them I would pick them up. I had prospects that promised me they would show up. I always invited someone to go and rarely had anyone attend. I never once signed up anyone at a hotel meeting.
With the leads I purchased, I would get a few prospects that would find my business interesting. A few actually signed up as representatives. But, this approach did not cause an explosion in my downline that I was hoping for. The phone calls from people who picked up my sizzle cards were more often than not looking for a job and not a business opportunity.
Everything changed when I saw an advertisement for the 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. I downloaded the FREE eBook and started reading. I was real curious what the "lies" were.
The phone calls I make now are all follow-up calls to people who have already seen my business opportunity and have questions. Thanks entirely to the
